Position Summary:
The Vice President of Children’s Clinical Services is a senior executive leader responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial oversight of the organization’s children’s service programs. This role ensures the effective delivery, growth, and sustainability of programs while maintaining the highest standards of service quality, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
The Vice President partners closely with program directors and senior leadership to strengthen operational systems, optimize program performance, and ensure programs operate efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with the organization's mission and strategic priorities.
While the primary focus of this role will be the leadership and operational oversight of Early Intervention programs, the Vice President will also play a critical role in advancing agency-wide priorities. As a member of the executive leadership team, this position contributes to broader organizational strategy, operational planning, and cross-program collaboration to support the continued growth and effectiveness of the agency. This role may also provide strategic leadership and operational support to additional programs or service areas as organizational needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Impact
- Partner with the President & CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives related to children’s services.
- Translate organizational strategy into operational plans that drive program growth, sustainability, and improved outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion, service innovation, and operational improvements.
- Serve as the executive leadership representative for children’s services with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
Operational Leadership
- Provide executive oversight of children’s service programs across multiple locations, ensuring operational consistency and strong program performance.
- Guide program directors in managing day-to-day operations while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Monitor operational performance and implement systems that improve efficiency, coordination, and service delivery.
- Ensure programs operate in compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
Operational & Financial Accountability
- Provide executive-level oversight of the financial and operational performance of children’s service programs, ensuring responsible stewardship of organizational resources and long-term program sustainability.
- Monitor program budgets, financial forecasts, and operational performance indicators in partnership with finance and program leadership.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, implementing strategies that improve efficiency, service delivery, and fiscal performance.
- Ensure programs operate with effective staffing models, resource allocation, and infrastructure to support high-quality service delivery and operational stability.
- Partner with internal departments including Finance, Human Resources, Quality, and Compliance to strengthen operational systems and support program success.
- Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and service expansion that align with community needs and the organization’s strategic priorities.
Performance Management & Program Effectiveness
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational performance, service outcomes, and program sustainability.
- Use data and analytics to guide decision-making and support program improvement efforts.
- Lead cross-program initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and client outcomes.
Leadership Development & Team Support
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to program directors and senior leaders.
- Build leadership capacity within programs by strengthening operational and management skills across teams.
- Foster a collaborative and solutions-oriented leadership culture across programs and locations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with funders, regulators, and community partners.
- Represent the organization in regional and statewide initiatives related to children’s services.
- Collaborate with internal departments including HR, finance, quality improvement, and compliance to support program success.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based in a professional nonprofit setting, with flexibility for hybrid work as approved. Occasional travel to agency sites, community events, or off-site KDC events (typically less than 50% of work time).
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires travel to multiple program locations and community settings, as well as attendance at meetings, trainings, and outreach events.
- Requires prolonged periods of driving, computer, tablet, and phone use for communication, documentation, and remote supervision.
- The VP must be able to enter and work within a variety of traditional and community environments, including those with potential physical or environmental challenges such as stairs, limited accessibility, and varying temperature conditions.
- The role may involve sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching during site visits, community outings, or training sessions.
- May require occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 40 pounds, such as program materials, adaptive equipment, or office supplies.
- Must be able to respond quickly and effectively in the field as needed to support team members or families, including navigating unpredictable or non-traditional environments.
- Workload and travel demands may fluctuate, requiring flexibility and adaptability to program and community needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, social work, public health, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of executive-level leadership experience overseeing large-scale programs, operations, or service delivery within healthcare, human services, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-site programs, budgets, and operational performance.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and mentoring skills with experience guiding senior program leaders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to analyze financial, operational, and program performance data to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Early Intervention, children’s services, or related programs.
- Prior experience mentoring or supervising other managers or directors.
- Familiarity with budgeting, program evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience with cross-site program coordination or multi-site operations.
- Experience driving organizational change, operational growth, or program expansion initiatives.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
