The Shipping/Inventory Coordinator supports shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities by performing routine operational tasks in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role is responsible for preparing materials for shipment, processing inventory transactions, and maintaining accurate records within ERP systems.
Working under general supervision, the Coordinator follows defined processes to ensure timely and accurate handling of materials, compliance with company policies, and maintenance of an organized and efficient work environment.
Regulatory Compliance Requirements
Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization to access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including packing and completion of required shipping documentation
- Process domestic and international shipments in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Coordinate LTL, air freight, and small package shipments (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS) following standard shipping practices
- File customs documentation and certifications as required
- Obtain and maintain dangerous goods (DG) shipping certification to support applicable shipments
- Receive, store, and shelve materials, ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained in ERP systems
- Perform data entry and transaction processing within ERP systems to support inventory accuracy
- Pull, kit, and process materials in support of production work orders
- Support cycle counts and inventory audits by locating, counting, and verifying materials
- Assist with the movement of materials between internal departments, sister divisions, and off-site warehouses
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory and shipping areas
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to support daily operations
- Follow established processes, safety requirements, and company policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory operations
- Basic understanding of shipping processes and inventory control practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to follow established procedures and prioritize daily tasks
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Familiarity with shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting international shipments
- Basic knowledge of export/import documentation (e.g., AES/ACE, HTS classifications, INCOTERMS)
- Experience handling ESD-sensitive materials
Physical Demands
- Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Occasional overtime/weekend work required.
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
Additional Information
- Compensation of $27/hr.
- Schedule: Core hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. (As long as the worker is in the office during this time frame, they can be flexible in and out times.)
- 100% Onsite
