Position Overview
A dynamic field sales team is seeking motivated In-Field Sales Development Representatives to drive new business growth by meeting restaurant prospects in person and booking qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives. This client-facing role is ideal for outgoing individuals who enjoy direct, face-to-face selling, thrive on reaching new prospects, and are energized by delivering measurable results in the local business community.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects weekly within your assigned territory to introduce partnership opportunities and secure qualified meetings for the outside sales team.
- Identify owners or key decision makers at each site, quickly build rapport, and relay the value proposition in concise, engaging conversations.
- Deliver clear, persuasive pitches on how digital ordering and delivery partnerships can help restaurant businesses increase orders and reach new customers.
- Accurately log each visit, conversation, and outcome using CRM tools with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to focus on target accounts and ideal customer profiles.
- Plan and organize daily routes to maximize quality visits and maximize meetings booked.
- Follow up with merchant contacts by phone, text, and email to confirm next steps and maintain engagement.
- Exceed weekly/monthly metrics tied to meetings set, meetings held, and resulting revenue impact.
- Act as the “eyes and ears” in your market, providing valuable merchant feedback on messaging and market needs back to the wider team.
Qualifications
- 1 year outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or similar customer-facing experience driving new sign-ups or business.
- Background in sales, hospitality, retail, service industry, or other high-touch, high-volume roles is a plus.
- Enjoys frequent, short, in-person conversations and thrives on building new relationships.
- Able to clearly and confidently communicate partnership value to merchants.
- Experience using sales tools (such as Salesforce, Outreach, or comparable CRMs) is a plus.
- Previous experience with restaurants, food & beverage, or small local businesses is advantage.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout territory.
- Willingness to work flexible “restaurant-friendly” hours, including some early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Comfort being on your feet for extended periods while making merchant visits.
- Ability to frequently drive within assigned sales territory.
- Capacity to carry light materials (e.g., flyers, tablet) during the workday.
