Vendor Analyst

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading travel & hospitality provider, is seeking a Vendor Analyst to support their IT team on a contract role running through 12/31/2026, hybrid onsite Tuesday-Thursday in Fort Worth, TX. The team is responsible for managing how applications are delivered and protected across the business's digital properties. The role involves defining, managing, and onboarding applications to the Akamai platform, owning CDN performance and traffic optimization, and supporting web security and edge protection efforts. The right candidate has real hands-on experience with the Akamai platform specifically, not just general CDN exposure, along with a background in traffic optimization and web security. A required technical assessment must be completed before submission.

• One round, virtual interview
• Required technical assessment (approx. 40 minutes) must be completed before submission

Core Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and onboard applications to the Akamai platform
• Optimize CDN performance and traffic routing for speed and reliability
• Support web security and edge protection efforts, including firewall and bot protection work
• Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot platform issues and maintain uptime
• Stay current on Akamai platform updates and best practices

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with the Akamai platform specifically
• Experience with CDN and traffic optimization
• Strong web security and edge protection skills

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Akamai-specific certifications

• Comfortable doing hands-on platform configuration work directly, not overseeing vendors from a distance
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on platform stability, security, and performance
• Reliable and collaborative given the hybrid, cross-team nature of the work

Work Environment

• Location: Fort Worth, TX
• hybrid onsite Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday and Friday

Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $51.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
