Our client, a leading airline industry provider, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team.
Key details:
- Contract type and duration – W2/C2C, 6-12 months possibility of extensions
- Work location - Dallas, TX or Tempe, AZ
- Onsite, hybrid or remote expectations – local candidates and onsite hybrid day 1 (required)
- Focus on engineering enablement, not a project delivery/development role
- Work directly with engineering teams to improve software development practices, quality, and discipline
- Focus on coaching, mentoring, and teaching modern engineering practices (XP-based)
- Experience guiding engineers in real work environments
- Strong Java or Python background
- XP / Agile / engineering craftsmanship exposure
- Comfort teaching by doing (pair programming live coding)
- Candidates must be fluent in:
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Pair Programming
- Coaching Capability
- Must have real-world experience mentoring engineers
- Expected to coach Senior engineers, not just junior developers
- Ability to guide teams through engineering practices live
- Ability to split work:
- 60%–90% Coaching / Leadership / Enablement
- 10%–40% Hands-On Keyboard Work
- Value Stream Mapping
- Engineering metrics exposure
- “The Hangar” / dojo-specific internal frameworks
- AI/ML experience (explicitly NOT required)
- Location: Dallas, TX or Tempe, AZ
- Hybrid
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $68.00 and $72.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
