Our client is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their team! This position is located in Houston, Texas.
Duties:
- Support revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606, with a solid understanding of downstream accounting and reporting impacts
- Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including roll-forwards, unwinds, reclassifications, and supporting documentation
- Utilize Zuora to manage subscription billing data and resolve system-related challenges impacting revenue accounting
- Develop and deliver revenue reports and ad hoc analyses using Tableau and other reporting tools to support internal stakeholders
- Assist with accounting compliance reporting, audits, and internal controls related to revenue processes
- Respond to frequent ad hoc requests from Finance, Accounting, and business partners, providing clear and accurate financial insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and ensure data accuracy across systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4 years of revenue accounting experience, preferably within large, complex organizations
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their practical application
- Hands-on experience with Zuora (strongly preferred), particularly in subscription or billing-based revenue models
- Experience preparing revenue roll-forwards, reconciliations, and compliance-related reporting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a highly complex environment
