Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for upholding product quality standards by inspecting and accepting or rejecting products, materials, and articles. Key duties include:

• Identifying and documenting non-conformances to engineering specifications and standards
• Notifying the appropriate personnel of potential product/material rejection
• Reporting discrepancies to supervision and management
• Documenting inspection results by completing detailed reports and logs for multiple product lines
• Performing mathematical functions such as weight measurements, torque conversions, and dimensional measurements
• Ensuring measurement equipment is properly maintained and accurately functioning
• Conducting visual inspections, continuity, and/or resistance testing on various cables, harnesses, and connectors
• Measuring machined products using comparators, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and other visual measurement devices
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following all standards and procedures
• Tracking and recording job progress and any deficiencies daily in written and electronic formats
• Accurately logging product information, traceability requirements, labor hours, and other statistics into company databases to adhere to compliance requirements
