- Install, service, modify, rebuild, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems in compliance with applicable building codes and safety regulations
- Operate and maintain central plant systems including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, air compressors, air handlers, and pumps
- Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Respond to emergency equipment and system failures as needed
- Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Prioritize and manage multiple work orders, ensuring timely completion and communication with stakeholders
- Utilize Building Automation Systems (BAS) to monitor and optimize equipment performance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, inspection, cleaning, adjustments, and replacement of consumables
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments regarding facility issues and work status
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high-quality performance standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility operations or HVAC maintenance
- Valid S1 or S2 license required
- EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification required
- Experience with CMMS and Energy Management Systems preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call for emergencies
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including confined spaces and temperature extremes
- Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders
