Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Licensed HVAC Technician
- Min- D2 State of CT. heating, cooling license.
- 310,000 square foot medical building in New Haven CT.
- Certificate for refrigerant reclamation.
- 5 to 10 years of commercial office/medical space experience.
- Warm water boiler operation and maintenance. (Gas Fired)
- Warm water heating loops, AHU’s, Pumps, Expansion Tanks, Etc…
- High and Low voltage electric hot water heaters.
- Water sourced Heat Pumps, DX split AC systems.
- Cooling Tower Operations.
- General knowledge of system controls
- Use of refrigerant leak detection equipment, refrigerant reclamation equipment, refrigerant gauges and most tools of the trade.
- Emergency generator operations/Transfer Switch, etc
- Fire Life Safety controls and procedures.
- Fire pump operations and controls.
- General building maintenance and upkeep as needed, to include minor lighting repair, plumbing and building maintenance.
- Building Automation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders.
- Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office. Use of laptop computers and smart phone for work order system and email.
- Position requires excellent organization, verbal, written and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must be self-sufficient, team player but able to work on own.
- On call approximately every 4 weeks, travel to buildings within New Haven County.
