Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $30-35 / hour, full-time (40 hours/week).
Overview: This client is an industry-leading company focused on agricultural specialties and sustainable chemistry, devoted to developing innovative technological solutions in agrochemical formulations, fertilizer protection, seed care, and tank mix adjuvants. In this role, you’ll be working with a talented team of scientists and project leaders on high-impact business projects in agriscience. This opportunity allows you to learn advanced R&D methodologies, collaborate globally, and develop solutions for agricultural formulation applications—helping to deliver new technologies to growers and advance sustainable agriculture.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, 40 hours/week. Contract length initially 6 months, potential for extension or conversion to permanent.

Responsibilities
- Carry out standard laboratory experiments and analyze results.
- Document procedures in lab notebooks and technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with peers, project teams, and customers toward successful completion.
- Test and analyze efficacy, stability, and physical characteristics of agrochemical formulations.
- Assist in designing and conducting field trials of formulations.
- Analyze and report data, communicate findings to project teams and scientists.
- Conduct literature reviews and patent searches on agrochemical ingredients and formulations.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD level in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Material Science, Plant Science, Microbiology, or related field.
- 1-2 years hands-on lab experience in analytical, organic, or polymer synthesis/formulation; at least one post-graduate job (interns/co-op/undergrad research may be considered).
- Experience in data processing and visualization (Excel, Google Sheets, JMP/Minitab).
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Adaptability to changing project pace; continuous learning and experimentation mindset.
- Experience with agrochemical formulations, ELN/LIMS, and instrumentation is a plus.
- Attention to detail, motivation, and curiosity; technical skills can be trained.
- Surface tension and contact angle measurement experience, seal coating application, milling experience desirable.
