Kelly® Engineering is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our client’s team at their manufacturing facility located 20 minutes west of Akron.
Looking for someone with 5–7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment who can effectively partner across departments and drive buy-in.
Targeted salary: $90K–$120K (flexible for candidates with CSP)
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and lead EHS strategies aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
- Conduct incident investigations and communicate root causes and corrective actions
- Track and report EHS metrics (including OSHA logs) to identify trends and support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations; represent the company during audits and inspections
- Oversee safety, sustainability, and environmental programs (waste, recycling, hearing conservation, drug screening, PPE, etc.) and manage related vendors
- Manage safety training compliance within the LMS, including equipment certification (e.g., powered industrial trucks)
- Lead customer compliance reporting, including restricted party screening for international business
- Maintain ISO 14001 compliance, including internal and external audit coordination
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance across product lifecycle and manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Monitor and manage PPE inventory for production and staff
- Coordinate and participate in BWC and other compliance training; support ongoing safety initiatives
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Certified Safety Professional Preferred
- ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor experience
- Experience with risk management and internal control environments
- Ability to conduct facility inspections and safety audits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and standard business software tools
