Automation Technician
We are hiring an Automation Technician to support a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing operation in the Sacramento area.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will be responsible for keeping automated production systems running in a sterile, regulated environment. The team is looking for someone who can troubleshoot, maintain, and support equipment with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment (motors, pumps, sensors, drives)
- Support automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
- Calibrate instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH, etc.)
- Perform electrical work including wiring, conduit, and panel modifications
- Support commissioning and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Maintain clean utility systems (WFI, clean steam, HVAC, HEPA)
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Document all work in compliance with GMP and FDA standards
What we're looking for
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems
- Experience working with sensors, transmitters, and control systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
