Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class C Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. The Class C Driver will operate a stake bed truck, while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class C vehicles, including stake bed and pick-up truck.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with manager and team members regarding routes and schedules.
- Adhere to all local traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles by reporting any mechanical issues or required repairs.
- Maintain compliance wsith state and federal regulations (FMCSR)
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries or pickups.
Skills
- Proven experience driving with a valid Class C driver's license, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Review (MVR).
- Hazmat endorsement preferred, but willing to get one within 45 days ok.
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities and route driving.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or heavy equipment as needed.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or freight handling is beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
