CNC Field Service Technician
We're looking for a CNC Field Service Technician specializing in grinding and/or lathe service, assembly, or maintenance experience to join our team in either the Southeast or the Midwest. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing and providing technical support for CNC equipment across the region. This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in machine tools, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a willingness to travel extensively. Education
Preferred: AAS in Electronic Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Consideration will be given to equivalent education and experience.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years in troubleshooting and repair.
Equivalent education/experience will be considered.
Technical Knowledge
Hands-on experience with CNC equipment is essential.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Understanding of machine design, operation, and repair practices.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems, PLCs, etc.
Familiarity with machine tools and their basic functions.
Location (candidate should be based in one of these two regions):
Based in the Southeast (AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV)
Based in the Midwest (OH, MI, IN, IL, WI).
Key Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic support for both warranty and non-warranty products, including on-site customer visits and remote assistance (video, email, etc.).
Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on machine tools.
Demonstrate and instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of machine tools and related accessories.
Coordinate with customers on machine upgrades, special options, and service requirements.
Maintain clear communication with customers until all quality issues are resolved.
Share knowledge with other field service staff and collaborate with various departments as needed.
This role involves extensive travel (85% ), including overnight stays.
