What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Associate position at KEELING COMPANY?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with ERP systems, computer skills, and purchasing. As a Purchasing Associate this position will be responsible for the purchase and control of inventory by utilizing an ERP system to satisfy customer requirements and prevent stock-outs. The Purchasing Associate will work directly with branch managers to fulfill inventory requirements at their assigned branches.

Essential Functions:
- Be a reliable single point of contact for your assigned branches
- Analyze branch inventory requirements by reviewing suggested purchase orders
- Create, process, and monitor purchase orders and communicate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
- Enforce cost-saving measures
- Monitor and work to eliminate slow-moving or obsolete inventory
- Collaborate with other departments to improve end-to-end supply chain
- Help resolve A/P discrepancies as necessary
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Education/Certifications/Skills/Abilities:
- High school Diploma/GED
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferred
- Familiarity with any ERP system; computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
