Position Summary

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for procurement, inventory planning, and supplier management in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role ensures the timely availability of materials required to support production while maintaining optimal inventory levels and cost-effective purchasing practices. The position also supports the procurement of operational supplies and services as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze material requirements and inventory data to determine purchasing needs and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Create, monitor, and expedite purchase orders to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Identify and resolve material shortages by working closely with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Coordinate with vendors to manage lead times, improve delivery performance, and minimize supply chain disruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activities using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records, including item and supplier information.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service, and recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Research and obtain competitive pricing while ensuring continuity of supply.
• Investigate and resolve purchasing, receiving, and invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production, operations, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and established procurement procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
