Bindery Operator
Reports to: Operations Manager FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt) Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled Bindery Operators to join our Norcross, GA production team. This role supports a wide range of bindery and finishing operations, with responsibilities tailored to the individual’s experience and skillset. Equipment may include guillotine cutters, die cutters, I-cut systems, laminators, and other bindery and finishing equipment used to produce high-quality printed products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Operate bindery and finishing equipment such as guillotines, die cutters, I-cut systems, laminators, and related machinery
· Set up and run jobs to meet quality standards, tolerances, and production schedules
· Read and interpret job tickets prior to production and throughout the job
· Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality and accuracy
· Load, unload, and handle materials and finished products (up to 50 lbs.)
· Complete required documentation related to time, materials, and quality control
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all SOPs, safety, PPE, and 6S requirements
Basic Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
· High school diploma or GED required
· Experience with guillotine cutting, die cutting, I-cutting, or laminating
· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
· Basic math skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
· Willingness and availability to work overtime as needed
