Costing Analyst

Summary:

Develop accurate & timely pricing quotes for new and existing products, ensuring we are both competitive in our offer to the customer and able to defend & expand margins.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and calculate pricing for all new & existing products as well as impact on contribution margins, using available tools.
• Gather, store & maintain raw material & component inputs from procurement and/or outside vendors; analyze for key insights that may impact pricing decisions.
• Develop understanding of how labor rates & manufacturing processes drive costs and margins.
• Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, management & sales team to develop formal pricing quotations for new business.
• Assist, as needed, in initial project review and customer requirements to assure accuracy in the final price quoted.
• Work with order processing to verify accuracy of price quoted to customer against actual purchase order.
• Report & analyze key costing/pricing metrics to identify areas of improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree, ideally in a quantitative (e.g., computer science, data science, economics) or business field (e.g. finance, accounting, management).
• A minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing costing experience; ERP/MRP experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in Excel & Microsoft office applications.
• Track record of using data & analyses to solve problems, make decisions, and influence others.
• Strong time management skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work well under pressure.
• Highly adaptable to change, with a demonstrated sense of ownership, and personal accountability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
