Position Summary
Behavior Technicians work directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Team members implement individualized treatment plans designed to teach communication, social, adaptive, play, and daily living skills while reducing barriers to learning.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children ages 0–12 years old
- Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs as designed by the BCBA
- Collect and accurately record client data during therapy sessions
- Assist clients in developing communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Follow all treatment protocols and organizational policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and participate in team meetings as needed
- Communicate professionally with caregivers and team members
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development opportunities
- Accept and implement feedback to continuously improve clinical skills and service delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, human services, or a related field is a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification (if not already certified)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background checks
