Job Summary
Maysville Community and Technical College is now inviting applications for the position of Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying and Mapping Program Coordinator/Instructor at the Maysville or Rowan Campus. The initial term contract is for a ten-month contract.
The role involves teaching 15 credit hours per semester, planning instructional activities, advising students and maintaining training equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering technology, industry experience, and a commitment to professional development and community service. Assignments will include on-campus and may include online courses.
Job Duties:
- Teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester.
- Plan and carry out instructional activities.
- Provide academic advising and assist with student recruitment, retention, and student outcome assessment.
- Maintain records and report on student progress.
- Keep abreast of technical changes in the field and update the program accordingly.
- Participate in professional development activities, professional growth, and institutional service.
- Engage in various departmental activities, including course development and evaluation, mentoring adjunct faculty, and participation in continuing education/community service.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs of training equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in the discipline or related field
- 2 years of related work experience
