What are the responsibilities and job description for the Robotic MIG Welder position at KCM Technical?
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Robotic MIG Welder with a tooling company.
Day Shift position, Will be working 55-65/hours per week.
Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate robotic MIG welding equipment.
Load and unload parts, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up before welding.
Monitor welding processes to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Inspect finished welds using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding systems.
Adjust welding parameters (e.g., voltage, wire feed speed) as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve welding processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
2 years of experience in MIG welding, preferably in a robotic or automated environment.
Familiarity with robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, or similar).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
