Purpose: Project Engineer partners with project management team and superintendent with the day-to-day management of construction activities for designated projects to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished.

- Preparation and coordination of submittals.
- Maintain submittal log and timely receipt/review of submittals and shop drawings
- Maintain RFI log; provide timely responses to project questions
- Track production on self-performed work; coordinate with team to ensure production goals are being met.
- Measuring in-place quantities for unit price work.
- Assists in preparing project status reports; attend/participate in project status meetings; assists in development of meeting minutes.
- Assist with project-close out activities.
- Maintain as-built drawings.
- Develops warranty/O&M manuals.
- Assists with any estimating activities as assigned.
- Assists with updating the project schedule.
- Attend weekly progress meetings.
- Perform additional assignments as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field required.
- One to three years’ experience in civil construction preferred, but not required.
- Experience with highway/roadway is desirable.
- Relevant experience supporting $10 million projects from conception through completion.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- A high degree of integrity.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Success factors include being a self-starter, strong work ethic, team player, time management, and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and P6; Vista experience a plus, but not required.
