- Assist in preparing accurate and competitive project cost estimates
- Review bid documents to understand scope, risks, and requirements
- Perform quantity take-offs for labor and materials with guidance from senior estimators
- Research and compile pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Participate in site visits to understand project conditions
- Partner with Senior Estimators to build technical estimating knowledge
- Learn and utilize estimating tools and Microsoft Office applications
- Support the estimating team with additional tasks as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of construction or estimating experience (internships a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; willingness to learn estimating software
- Exposure to tools like HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or On-Screen Takeoff is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset
