Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Program Design
- Develop and execute a comprehensive professional development strategy for all departments, with a special focus on Operations and Sales
- Identify and address current gaps in training engagement and effectiveness
- Design scalable learning pathways (e.g., onboarding, compliance, leadership, sales excellence)
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of trainers, instructional designers, and learning specialists
- Partner with department heads to customize training content and delivery methods
- Serve as a role model for a learning-oriented culture
- Oversee the creation, scheduling, and facilitation of in-person, virtual, and blended training
- Leverage technology (LMS, microlearning, gamification) to enhance engagement
- Implement evaluation systems to measure participation, retention, and impact
- Analyze feedback and performance data to continually refine programs
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Foster employee buy-in through innovative communications and recognition programs
- Lead change management initiatives to embed learning as a core business value
- Address barriers to participation and create accountability frameworks
- Proven leadership in Learning & Development or Professional Development roles (5 years preferred)
- Background in logistics, transportation, or high-growth industries is a plus
- Strategic mindset with strong project management and execution abilities
- Experience with LMS platforms and a passion for using technology to scale learning
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
- BA/BS in Education, HR, Business or related field (Master’s a plus)
