Location: Irvine, CA

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

A rapidly expanding publicly traded company in Irvine is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and improve the company’s AP operations.

This role is ideal for either an experienced AP Manager or a Senior Accounts Payable professional ready to step into a leadership role.

The position operates as a working manager, responsible for both managing the AP function and remaining directly involved in day-to-day operations. The company processes a very high volume number of invoices monthly, so this role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You will also help implement technology improvements and automation tools integrated with NetSuite, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes and leveraging systems to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Oversee high volume invoice processing
• Supervise AP team while remaining hands-on in daily AP operations
• Administer vendor setup, invoice approvals, and payment disbursements
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and public company accounting standards
• Support month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Administer Concur expense reporting system and corporate credit card program
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper invoice authorization and procurement coordination
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries
• Help implement automation tools layered on top of NetSuite to improve AP workflows and reporting

Qualifications

• 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Strong experience with NetSuite (required)
• Experience administering Concur expense management system
• Experience working in a publicly traded company environment
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance
• Ability to manage AP operations in a high-volume environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience implementing AP automation or financial system improvements
• Background in life sciences, healthcare, or high-growth companies
• Experience supporting audit processes and financial reporting
