At Barley’s, exceptional hospitality starts at the front door and flows all the way through to the kitchen. We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented team members to join us in a dynamic Host / Food Expeditor (Expo) dual role in Overland Park.
Whether you’re keeping the host stand organized or ensuring every dish coming out of our scratch kitchen looks perfect, this role is the heart of our dining room operations.
The Role & Responsibilities:
- As a Host: Welcome guests with warmth, manage peak-hour waitlists, and set the pace for a seamless dining experience.
- As an Expo: Work directly at the kitchen pass in a fast-paced environment to quality-check dishes, communicate effectively with kitchen staff, and ensure orders leave the kitchen accurately and promptly.
- Dual-Role Synergy: This position gives you a well-rounded view of both front-of-house and kitchen operations, opening doors for cross-training and higher-level opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- High energy, great attention to detail, and a calm presence under pressure.
- Strong communication skills—you’ll be the key link between our kitchen line and service staff.
- Restaurant experience in a high-volume setting is a plus, but we are happy to fully train the right candidate!
- Weekend availability required (minimum 3-shift availability).
