We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner/Expo to join our dynamic team at Strouds. The Food Runner/ Expo plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that all orders are complete and presented beautifully before serving to guests.
- Assist servers by providing timely support during busy service periods.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables as needed.
- Support banquet services by helping set up and break down events when required.
- Collaborate with team members to provide an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and carry large trays
- A team player who is willing to help others and contribute positively to the work atmosphere.
- Must have a passion for food and guest services, ensuring that every guest feels valued.
