KBW Financial has partnered with a global life sciences company to identify a Technical Accounting Manager. This role will lead technical accounting and GAAP matters in support of the global organization. This is a hybrid remote role requiring 3 days per week in office. Additional details include:
- Perform technical accounting and GAAP assessments as necessary
- Support business and finance partners to conduct accounting research and determine the appropriate accounting treatment
- Draft technical accounting memos to support accounting conclusions on complex issues
- Implement and maintain the company’s accounting policies and oversee compliance
- Work with external auditors on complex accounting issues
- Assessment and implementation of new accounting standards
- Prepare materials on new or existing accounting standards for training
- Responsible for performing internal controls / SOX for technical accounting matters
- 5 years straight public accounting or public accounting / industry combo with strong GAAP and public company experience
- Experience with technical accounting / GAAP and supporting SEC reporting
- IFRS a plus
- Public company experience including SOX
- CPA or in process required
