System Analyst

KBW has partnered with a large manufacturer in their search for a Systems Analyst. This Analyst acts as a liaison between business users and technical teams, with a focus on accounting systems and related ERP applications. This role requires expertise in accounting applications, data querying, and basic reporting to ensure the accuracy and security of financial data. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and information technology, particularly with systems such as Epicor, SAP, or Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs to develop effective solutions.
• Lead complex systems projects and manage project teams.
• Troubleshoot current accounting systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with accounting and IT teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and system reliability.
• Design and implement system upgrades and new applications as needed.
• Train end-users on new systems and procedures.
• Stay informed about new technologies and regulations impacting the accounting information system.
• Perform additional duties as required.
  
  

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with ERP accounting modules
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems.
• Familiarity with MS-SQL and relational database concepts.
