Staff Accountant

Role

KBW Financial has partnered with a Boston area consumer product company to identify a Staff Accountant. This role will be focused on AR matters and trade deductions to support their business. Additional details include:

• Research trade deduction backup to validate or dispute deductions
• Process approved deductions by creating and posting credit memos
• Create monthly accruals and reconcile deductions
• Partner with Sales and FP&A to validate deductions against approved trade plans and customer agreements
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Service to investigate and resolve deductions
• Generate regular deduction reporting by customer
• Support audit requests
• Ensure deduction workflows follow internal controls and documentation standards
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes
  
  

Requirements

• 2 years of accounting or finance experience with prior exposure to trade deductions in a consumer goods company preferred.
• Working knowledge of trade promotions
• Experience with cash application, credit memo processing, and general ledger reconciliations
• Strong communication skills
• Intermediate Excel skills
  
  

COMP: $60,000 - 75,000 Base Bonus Strong Benefits
