KBW Financial has partnered with a Boston area consumer product company to identify a Staff Accountant. This role will be focused on AR matters and trade deductions to support their business. Additional details include:
- Research trade deduction backup to validate or dispute deductions
- Process approved deductions by creating and posting credit memos
- Create monthly accruals and reconcile deductions
- Partner with Sales and FP&A to validate deductions against approved trade plans and customer agreements
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Service to investigate and resolve deductions
- Generate regular deduction reporting by customer
- Support audit requests
- Ensure deduction workflows follow internal controls and documentation standards
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes
- 2 years of accounting or finance experience with prior exposure to trade deductions in a consumer goods company preferred.
- Working knowledge of trade promotions
- Experience with cash application, credit memo processing, and general ledger reconciliations
- Strong communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- In office 4 days per week (Mon - Thurs)
