Staff Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing organization in the Jaffrey, NH area that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will support a variety of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close activities, financial reporting support, and operational accounting initiatives. The organization offers a collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to grow and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and audit support
• Support inventory and cost-related accounting activities
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research variances
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational initiatives
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 years of accounting experience
• Experience supporting accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
