The Senior Manager, Revenue will lead the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition across multiple revenue streams, including Cloud, Equipment, and Professional/Managed Services. This role will oversee a team and partner cross-functionally to support financial reporting, compliance, and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of 4 (2 Managers and 2 Senior Revenue Accountants)
- Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 across multiple revenue streams
- Review customer contracts and assess appropriate revenue treatment, including non-standard terms
- Lead month-end close activities related to revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Operations to evaluate deal structures and revenue implications
- Maintain and enhance revenue accounting processes, controls, and documentation
- Support revenue forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Drive system improvements and process automation, particularly within NetSuite and Salesforce
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 8 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within SaaS or technology
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and multi-element revenue arrangements
- Experience managing and developing accounting teams
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
