Senior Accounting Manager Consultant

A booming tech company is seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Manager–level consultant to support a high-growth software company during a maternity leave. Ideal candidates come from SaaS or startup environments, are strong generalists, and comfortable working independently.

Duration: 3–4 months

Location: 100% Remote

Start: Mid-February preferred

Rate: $75–$85/hr

Responsibilities

• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close
• Support audit completion and YE close
• Manage GL, reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Revenue recognition (ASC 606 – software licensing)
• Commissions capitalization exposure (ASC 340-40 preferred)
• Oversee payroll reconciliations (ADP), AP, AR, cash, and sales/use tax (Avalara)
• Supervise one Senior Staff Accountant
  
  

Requirements:

• 5 years in software/SaaS accounting
• Accounting Manager level or above (Controller candidates welcome)
• NetSuite experience required
• Prior people management experience
• CPA / public accounting background a plus
