Director of Finance

Confidential Opportunity: Controller (Nonprofit Organization) Manchester, NH area.

A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Controller to join the team immediately on a contract basis.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting function while managing a team of four accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 4 accounting staff
• Oversee monthly financial statement preparation
• Manage the month-end close process
• Perform and review account reconciliations
• Ensure accurate grant accounting and compliance with funding requirements
• Support budgeting, audits, and financial reporting
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting best practices
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
• 5 years of progressive accounting leadership experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of grant accounting and fund accounting
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
  
  

Compensation

• $60-$75/hour, based on experience
• Immediate start with appropriate background check
• Contract opportunity with potential for extension
