What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant to Finance Director position at Town of Berwick?
The Town of Berwick is accepting applications for the position of Assistant to the Finance Director. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a up to 25-hour work week.
This position will assist the Finance Director in various aspects of the Town’s finances including but not limited to accounts payable, Tax Club, vendor files, tax billing, fixed assets and other related duties. This position will also hold the positions of Deputy Tax Collector and Deputy Treasurer.
Pay Range: DOE- up to $23.00 per hour
The successful candidate must:
· Have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Word and Excel
· Have knowledge of mathematical calculations and account reconciliations
· Have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing
· Must be a Maine resident
Experience and Education/Training:
· High School diploma or equivalent with accounting course work
· Three (3) years’ related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
· TRIO experience preferred
