- Oversee day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Lead general ledger activities, accounts payable, payroll, revenue recognition, and cost accounting.
- Manage manufacturing accounting, inventory workflows, and cash flow forecasting to support operations.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations, including corporate and sales tax.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, facilitating annual audits and providing required schedules.
- Develop and enforce robust internal controls and accounting policies to enhance financial integrity.
- Drive process improvements and automation to streamline workflows and shorten close cycles.
- Oversee intercompany transactions, allocation methodologies, and physical inventory processes.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support R&D, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 direct reports and 3–4 indirect reports, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Experience: 10 years in public accounting with leadership experience; life sciences, medical devices, or manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certifications: CPA required.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite experience a plus); advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, manufacturing accounting, and inventory management.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams.
