Responsibilities

KBW Financial has partnered with a well established organization based out of Middlesex County, MA that is actively looking to add a Controller to their team! The Controller, will report into the Corporate Controller and assist with financial reporting, operational accounting, and technology/process optimization. The Controller will perform the following:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting professional growth and a culture of continuous improvement
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and consolidated financial reporting
• Design and implement scalable financial models to support recurring reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
• Collaborate across departments to analyze financial and non-financial data, providing insights to guide business strategy
• Drive enhancements to financial reporting processes, maintaining alignment with business priorities and internal controls
• Support complex accounting issues, including business transactions and updates to accounting standards
• Partner with teams to analyze and implement process changes for term and SaaS offerings
• Manage accounts payable operations, optimizing efficiency while upholding controls and mitigating risk
• Work with the Financial Systems Team to identify and implement workflow improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency
• Champion new software solutions and integrations to enhance reporting capabilities and data-driven decision-making
• Lead financial planning processes, aligning forecasts and budgets with organizational goals
• Develop dynamic financial models to assess the impact of strategic decisions on the company’s financial outlook throughout the year
