Chief Financial Officer

Location: Lowell, MA area - Onsite

Comp: $190K–$210K base bonus equity transaction bonus

A PE-backed manufacturing company ($20–30M revenue) seeking a hands-on CFO to partner directly with the CEO and lead the business through a potential transaction in the next 12–24 months. This is a high-impact, execution-focused role ideal for a Controller or VP of Finance stepping into their first CFO seat.

Key Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy, KPIs, and 5-year planning
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing/bid analysis
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital structure
• Oversee financial reporting, board presentations, and compliance (DCAA/DCMA)
• Drive system improvements (NetSuite, Power BI)
• Lead and develop a lean global finance team (U.S. & U.K.)
• Support M&A activity and transaction readiness
  
  

Qualifications

Background as Controller, VP, or SVP of Finance (CFO experience welcome)

Manufacturing experience required (government/defense preferred)

Experience in small/mid-sized companies (

Strong P&L ownership and board-level exposure

CPA preferred

Systems: NetSuite, Power BI
