Assistant Controller OR Controller

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing technology company seeking an Assistant Controller to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a rapidly expanding organization experiencing growth both organically and through acquisition.

The Assistant Controller will work closely with the CFO and play a key role in strengthening accounting operations, scaling processes, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with consolidations and accounting for acquisitions
• Support internal and external audits and manage auditor relationships
• Help design and implement process improvements and system enhancements
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects for the CFO
  
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Public accounting / CPA
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience in a technology or high-growth environment preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  
  

Compensation: $180,000 - $210,000 plus bonus, equity
