AP/AR Billing Specialist (Staff or Senior)

📍 Greater Augusta Maine Area | Hybrid (3–4 days onsite)

💰 $75K – $95K Solid Benefits/PTO

What You’ll Do

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Generate and issue project-based invoices/pay apps tied to milestones and POs.
• Track receivables, follow up with customers, and partner with PMs to resolve billing issues.
• Support accurate and timely month-end close with construction teams.
  
  

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process vendor/sub invoices, ensure proper coding, and manage payments.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, W-9s, lien waivers, insurance, and banking info.
• Maintain vendor relationships and reconcile AP aging.
  
  

Project Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate job cost tracking, WIP reporting, and revenue data for FP&A.
• Support audits and sponsor reporting.
  
  

General

• Produce weekly aging reports (DSO/DPO analysis).
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve billing/payment issues.
• Jump in wherever needed—this is a scaling business.

• AP/AR experience in a construction or project-based environment (required).
• ERP exposure a plus (Accumatica experience is great but not required).
• Strong communicator who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
