Accounts Payable Specialist

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a well-established, multi-location professional services firm to identify an Accounts Payable Specialist for their Burlington, VT office. This is a full-time, onsite role with a collaborative team and strong company culture, offering long-term stability and growth. The position reports directly to the Finance Director and supports a multi-entity environment, making it ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail and experience working across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
• Ensure proper approvals are obtained prior to payment processing
• Execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Process employee expense reimbursements
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Assist with month-end close related to accounts payable
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
• Monitor shared inbox and route inquiries appropriately
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve billing and payment discrepancies
• Support audits and assist with additional accounting projects as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Prior administrative office experience required; AP or accounting exposure preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment is a plus
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented setting
  
  

This is a permanent opportunity, with hybrid schedule flexibility after the first 6 months. Compensation ranges from $25-$28/hr.
