Overview

We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Controller (Consultant) to step in and provide hands-on leadership across core accounting functions during a key transition period.

This role offers strong visibility and ownership, with a focus on reviewing close, payroll approval, and equity-related accounting, while working closely with leadership and an existing Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and oversee the monthly close process in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and completeness of work prepared by the Accounting Manager
• Approve and support bi-weekly payroll processing in Paylocity
• Lead and coordinate 401(k) audit support, including documentation and auditor requests
• Support and review stock compensation / equity accounting activities
• Partner with leadership on financial reporting, controls, and process improvements
• Assist with AP-related workflows and spend management through Coupa as needed
• Provide hands-on support across accounting operations in a lean, collaborative environment
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including close review and financial oversight
• Prior experience in a Senior Accountant or Controller-level role
• Strong experience with month-end close, audit support, and payroll review/approval
• Exposure to equity / stock compensation accounting strongly preferred
• Ability to operate independently and add value quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
