Role Summary
The SAP MM Functional Consultant is responsible for supporting procurement, inventory management, vendor management, and invoice processing systems. This role ensures efficient supply chain operations and compliance with procurement policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Materials Management- Support end-to-end procurement processes:
- Purchase Requisitions (PR)
- Purchase Orders (PO)
- Goods Receipt (GR)
- Service Entry Sheets
- Manage release strategies and approval workflows
- Support contract and outline agreement processes
- Manage Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) processes using OpenText solutions
- Monitor invoice workflows, error logs, and document processing
- Maintain vendor master data and compliance (W9, tax validation)
- Support accounts payable operations and invoice tracking
- Oversee inventory processes and warehouse operations
- Support material master and material group configurations
- Conduct inventory audits and year-end processes
- Provide daily production support and resolve user issues
- Monitor workflows, troubleshoot system errors, and maintain logs
- Coordinate with technical teams and third-party vendors
- Perform SAP MM and VIM configuration
- Support system upgrades, patches, and testing (UAT)
- Maintain procurement-related master data:
- Purchasing groups
- Material master
- Vendor data
- Generate procurement and AP reports
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
- Support audit activities and financial reporting
- Conduct training for:
- Requisitioners
- Approvers
- Buyers and warehouse staff
- Develop user documentation and knowledge base
- Daily: Ticket resolution, workflow monitoring, vendor support
- Weekly: Coordination meetings, vendor data validation
- Monthly: Training sessions, reporting
- Quarterly: System testing and validation
- Annual: Inventory audits, 1099 processing, system upgrades
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, IT, or related field
- 5 years of SAP MM experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Procurement lifecycle
- Inventory management
- Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
- Experience with OpenText VIM, OCR tools, and workflow configuration
- Knowledge of AP processes and financial integration
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
