Overview
A leading global law firm is seeking a motivated Real Estate Paralegal to join its collaborative and highly regarded real estate practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, gaining exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and related matters.
Responsibilities for Real Estate Paralegal:
- Support commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and related matters
- Review title insurance commitments, surveys, property descriptions, and title exception documents, identifying items for attorney review
- Assist with property due diligence, including zoning reports, certificates of occupancy, environmental reports, lien and judgment searches, and other property records
- Prepare and review real estate documents, including deeds, mortgages, releases, affidavits, and other transaction and closing documents
- Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, clients, and other parties to obtain due diligence materials, title updates, surveys, and closing documents
- Assist with closings and post-closing matters, including maintaining checklists, organizing signature and escrow documents, tracking deliverables, recording documents, and monitoring transfer tax filings and title policies
Qualifications for Real Estate Paralegal:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience within a law firm environment
- Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, and closing coordination
- Familiarity with title insurance commitments, title exceptions, surveys, zoning reports, and property-related searches
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and outside vendors
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues in transaction documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn new software and systems
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
