Responsibilities for Litigation Support Paralegal:
- Prepare and electronically file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other court documents in state and federal courts
- Support attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, exhibits, and overall case management
- Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other court-related websites
- Manage large-scale document productions and case data using litigation support platforms such as Relativity
- Cite-check, proofread, and fact-check briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents
- Maintain accurate and well-organized case files in accordance with firm standards
- Assist with mentoring and supporting junior paralegals, as appropriate
Qualifications for Litigation Support Paralegal:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of New York state and federal court rules and procedures
- Proficiency with litigation databases, electronic filing systems, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
