Join a collaborative, globally recognized AM100 law firm as a Legal Talent Manager, where you will play a key role in supporting attorney talent initiatives across the firm. This position partners closely with Practice Group leadership and firm management to drive attorney development, performance management, mentorship, onboarding, and strategic talent initiatives. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to influence attorney engagement, professional growth, and retention while collaborating with leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities for Professional Development & Talent Manager

• Partner with Practice Group leadership to support attorney talent management, professional development, retention, and strategic practice group initiatives.
• Lead the annual attorney evaluation process for associates, counsel, and partners while monitoring performance, feedback, and development plans.
• Oversee attorney mentoring and professional development programs, serving as a trusted resource for attorneys on career development, workplace concerns, and engagement.
• Coordinate the onboarding and integration of new attorneys to ensure a seamless transition into the firm.
• Partner with Finance and Practice Group leadership to analyze productivity metrics, prepare reports, and support strategic staffing and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to implement firm policies, attorney development programs, and talent initiatives.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyze attorney retention trends, and recommend strategies to enhance engagement and retention.
• Coordinate Practice Group meetings, training programs, and attorney development initiatives while supporting special projects as needed.

Qualifications for Professional Development & Talent Manager

• Bachelor's degree required
• 7 years of experience in legal talent, attorney development, legal personnel, professional development, practice management, or a related function within a large law firm.
• Experience partnering directly with Practice Group leadership, partners, and attorneys on strategic talent management initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of attorney evaluations, professional development, mentoring programs, onboarding, attorney engagement, and retention strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and develop practical solutions to complex talent and personnel matters.
