Kaufman Dolowich, LLP, honored by U.S. News as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firms,” is expanding its Delaware office. We are seeking Delaware licensed Associate Attorneys with at least three years of primarily defense civil litigation experience.
Our Delaware office manages multiple practice areas, offering a great opportunity for the lawyer who has or wants to gain firsthand experience. You will be exposed to director and officer, insurance coverage, employment law, professional malpractice, civil rights, real estate, and commercial/contract disputes.
Required Competencies:

- Clear, concise, and persuasive communicator in writing and in oral advocacy
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Strong academic background with a demonstrated commitment to excellence
- Ability to assist with complicated, sensitive, and high value cases in all stages
- Proven strength in managing regular and e-discovery
- Comfort with courtroom appearances
- Comfort deposing witnesses
Qualifications:
- JD degree and excellent academic credentials, law school transcripts required if you graduated in the last five years
- 3 years of primarily defense civil litigation experience
- MBA or business degree is a plus but not required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience billing time or willingness to learn
- Admission to the Delaware Bar
- Admission to the Maryland and/or Washington D.C. bar(s) is a plus but not required. However, the ideal candidate is willing to become licensed in these jurisdictions in the near future
- Commercial bankruptcy experience is also a plus but not required
- Strong writing background, writing sample required
