Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring high quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques and food safety practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Fine dining experience is preferred; familiarity with menu planning is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Previous experience in restaurant settings with a focus on high-quality food service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
