Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests receive high-quality service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance guest experience through upselling.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines and food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Assist with hosting duties as needed, including managing reservations through OpenTable.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience in a server role is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective guest relations and teamwork.
