Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves providing top-tier service in both casual and fine dining settings, ensuring guests feel welcomed and satisfied throughout their visit.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including specials and wine pairings
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies, food safety standards, and current menu offerings
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in hospitality, serving, bussing, or host/host roles is beneficial
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed
